Galatians 4:1-28

Part 6 (Galatians 4) paints the stunning contrast between life as spiritual slaves and life as adopted heirs. Paul reminds the Galatians that, at just the right moment, God sent His Son—born of a woman and under the Law—to redeem us and place the Spirit in our hearts so we cry “Abba, Father.” Why, then, slip back into the old elementary rules that once held us captive? Using the story of Hagar and Sarah, Paul shows that living by works is slavery, but living by promise is freedom: in Christ we are Isaac-children, not Ishmael-slaves. God even turned Paul’s illness into the doorway for the gospel among them—proof that He can transform every circumstance for our good and His glory. So the choice is clear: cling to legalistic chains, or step into the full inheritance and authority that belong to God’s beloved sons and daughters.
