Our Faith

The following is Abbreviated Statement of Faith of Solid Rock Church of San Marcos based on the foundational truths taught in the Bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines. You can find a link to our full Statement of Faith at the end of the page

We believe that God is the Creator of the universe and is revealed in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and the God Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God and He is co-equal with the Father. He lived a sinless human life, and is the only solution for man’s sin problem.

The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God and He makes men aware of their need for a relationship with Jesus Christ.

The Bible is God’s specific revelation to us and is the supreme source of truth for Christian belief and living.

People are made in the image of God and are the supreme object of God’s creation. All of us are marred by disobedience (called sin) to God. The only remedy to man’s “sin problem” is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

We believe that salvation is God’s free gift to all of mankind through the sacrifice and death of Jesus Christ.

We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a biblical marriage between one naturally-born man and one naturally-born woman.

We believe that God has ordained and created all authority consisting of three basic institutions: 1. The Home 2. The Church 3. The State – Every person is subject to these authorities.

We believe that human life begins at conception and abortions are unjustified killing of a human life.

All Christian are steward of what God has entrusted to them. Scripture encourages all Christians to give to their local church in their: Time, Talents and Treasure.
