Galatians 1:1-10

Part 1 of our Galatians series (1:1-10) launches with Paul’s urgent wake-up call: the true gospel is Jesus + nothing. Writing as an apostle commissioned by the risen Christ Himself, Paul greets the churches with grace and peace, then wonders how they could so quickly trade God’s free gift for a counterfeit that tacks human effort onto salvation. He rehearses the good news—Christ gave Himself to rescue us from this present evil age—and thunders that anyone, even an angel, who tweaks that message stands under a curse. The takeaway is clear: the gospel needs no upgrade, only our trust and obedience to God rather than the applause of people.
