How Do We Love?
The sermon explores how we love, building on the idea that love comes from God and is modeled perfectly by Jesus. Love is shown in three main ways. First, love is a feeling, something we naturally experience in relationships, as seen in the love between Isaac and Rebekah. Second, love is a decision—we are called to love even when feelings are absent, following Jesus’ command to love others as He loved us, including enemies. Jesus consistently chose compassion and love, even when tired or overwhelmed, showing us what committed love looks like. Third, love is an action—real love is demonstrated through what we do, not just what we say. Scripture teaches that without love, our actions are meaningless, but when love motivates us, it covers sin, brings healing, and reflects Christ to others.
