Ephesians 1:1-14
What if the peace and purpose you keep chasing has already been given to you? In this message from our Ephesians series, Pastor Matthew Mletzko walks through Ephesians 1.1-14 and shows how Paul, writing from prison, opens his letter by reminding the church that grace is getting what we do not deserve and that God's peace is nothing like the cotton candy peace the world offers. Pastor Matt unpacks the spiritual blessings we receive the moment we accept Christ, how God chose us before the foundation of the world while still letting us freely choose or reject him, and why a child adopted in the first century could never be disowned. He compares how other world religions put the work of repair on the individual, then shows that only in Jesus does God fix what we cannot. The message closes with the Holy Spirit as our seal and guarantee, followed by a time of prayer before a church meal. Not one of us is a mistake, and every one of us has a purpose.
